How do I cheat?

Currently, when you use cheatengine to enable speed hack (tested at 2.0 so far) the game crashes within 1-2 minutes of enabling this. Is there any way to fix this on the cheatengine side? Any workaround anybody is aware of in the game settings?

tested with both 7.2 and 7.3
