Cheat Engine

I'm new to cheat engine but managed to find the health value of two games so far however when I try to find the HP on one game I come up with nothing. There's a health bar on screen with a number but searching using exact values comes up empty. I tried using unknown initial value, increased value, decreased value, and still came up with nothing. I tried setting it to 4 byte, float, and all types and still can't figure it out. I'd like some help if possible.

Some games use encrypted values which can make it a little more challenging to find. Unknown initial value > change value in game and search changed value > search unchanged value a couple of times > repeat.
