Cheat Engine

Hello,

I am new to cheat engine and game hacking, so to learn and practice I have started hacking Pokemon Emerald, running it on VGA-M. However I have run into a problem, whenever I use "Find out what writes/accesses this address" to find the pointer for my health, the game crashes.

However, the game does not crash when I am using the "find out" function to confirm the health address is correct. It is only when I use it on possible addresses that point to the health address. It runs normally up to the point where the health would change, and then the game freezes and crashes. I have also had this problem with with the tutorial levels.

I have always had VEH enabled.

I figured it out, the problem was VEH for some reason.
