Hello, basically i am packing the executable of Cheat engine in order to reduce its file size, the problem lies here is when i do so, DBK fails to load, tried Themida/UPX/VMProtect and all of em seem to be having the same issue, is it something related to the signature of the .exe file that is lost after packing ?
is there any way to fix this issue ?

No, the signature changes which means dbk refuses to access it

but if you care about filesize I recommend using the compressed files/folder feature of windows itself

well its not about file size is what matters mainly to be tbh, but something related to packing Cheat engine in general, is there any way to fix this without using Windows compression? does signing both DBK and the executable with the same signature (I have my own) will fix the issue ?

You need to compile dbk yourself.
use the "release no sig" mode and it'll function fine regardless of the signature
