Okay, so... I'm working with a game (Master of Orion 2, in DOSBox) that has a huge amount of data (for a DOS game) which I want to edit efficiently. I don't know LUA, so I've been trying to get the thing to have a 'raw data' field for the two spots I want to edit (the systems and worlds connected to them). As such, I made an entry that is an array of byte with a length of 8023. That way I can copy the data, put it in VB (which I do know), get VB to rearrange it, and then put it back. Boom! Changed data. (Which, I am hoping, will add tons of worlds.)
The thing is, whenever I open the address box to change it, I get a 'Division by zero' error that pops up but doesn't seem to do anything. Is this something I should worry about?

do you change the value by selecting the record and then press enterm or by doubleclicking the value, or some other method?

Pressing enter to change the value, but that's not where the error occurs. It shows up when I double-click on the address and the option window to change address, description, and type appears. Testing shows it works just fine, but it's giving this error when I do that. It's also possible that it's the sheer number of fields I have in this thing. (71 'systems' with 10 entries each plus header, 355 'worlds' of 9 entries plus header, 355 'planets' with 40 entries and three headers, plus more for race info and other bits to control 'all of X for all worlds' or similar. Plus several of the entries have drop-down lists repeated for all X entries. The cheat file is something like 4mb.)
