Hello, I need your help. I have an old strategy game where units have paramters: min damage and max damage.
Actual damage value is used by random choice number between min and max.
For example, unit has min damage = 10 and max damage= 20, and real hit damage value can be in this range [10, 20] (for example, 15).
The game is very big and I don't know method where and how this attack logic is processed.
I want to do that actual damage value always will be max damage and not random. How do I do it?
As I know, CE has "Unrandomizer" tool. Can this tool be helpful in solving my problem? For example, can it generate all places where random is used to and I will find the place where is processed this damage random.
Btw, I saw this thread: viewtopic.php?p=4624812&sid=d91a5ae09544abc017c99652594de8a5
but it didn't help me.
I can't find min and max value of a unit displayed in the game in CE at all.
UPD: IT looks like unrandomizer doesn't give any impact on this random between min and max damage. When I turn it on, the actual damage is still randomized. Why?
The unrandomizer doesn't work because different games are different.
If you can't read assembly, you might get lucky and find max/min values in memory around the value itself (memory viewer or structure dissect); otherwise, the best thing you can do is ask someone who can read assembly to do it for you. _________________
