My first post! Please excuse me if I posted in the wrong section.

I am trying to edit this value which is constantly overwritten by something. I've used "Find out what writes to this address" and found an address which overwrites my value about 4 times a second. I think this is a blind stop, because by stopping this from writing("Replace with code that does nothing"), it just stops the visual value from changing, not the actual value. How would I go about finding the actual value? The value is probably generated by a cryptic value of some sort. I tried to "Find out what writes to this address" on the address that overwrites my value. But nothing writes to it.

Any tips and tricks for this? All help greatly appreciated!

Disconnect from the internet. If you can't use that value normally anymore (e.g. if it's currency, buy/sell something) or can't play the game at all, give up. That value is probably stored on a server, and CE can only change what's on your computer.

Otherwise, try scanning for unknown initial value and changed/unchanged value.

Sorry, I forgot to mention this is singleplayer game. It does not connect to the internett, as far as I can see.

I managed to edit a different pointer which edits this value. So instead of raising its value by 100%, it raises it by 101% and exceeds its limit, which proofs that the value can be edited.

Im just having a great time trying to ""hack"" this, and learning new stuff :D
