Cheat Engine

Alright so basically I've seen that nobody has made a cheat for Kynseed yet and I like playing the game so I decided to make a cheat engine for it. I've got the money down but the problem I'm having is with items.

The apples (which you use to fast travel and feed pigs) are controlled by two scripts, one that increases it and another that decreases it. My problem is that I tried doing the same thing with the apples as i did the money but the value never increases and the decreasing value still works.
