The 2020s will be the last decade humans will use coal, gas and nuclear as their primary source of energy. Technological innovations have been happening behind the scenes for years that allow us to better harvest solar radiation, gravity and wind. Swanson's law notes that photovoltaic solar modules tend to cost the customer 20 percent less every time you double the amount you make.
Contrary to popular belief, the free market will lead to the widespread deployment of solar, not just government policies or subsidies.

It has nothing to do with the scarcity of fossil fuels and everything to do with green energy becoming cheaper and more efficient. There is no more innovation possible with fossil fuels, as it's just pumping some oil or coal out of the ground and setting it on fire. With green energy, there is so much room to innovate the process to make it better that eventually fossil fuels will become obsolete.

green energy is a scam, mostly run on fossil fuels.
fossil fuels aint going anywhere in our lifetime.
