For some odd reason, I can't find the experience values with Cheat Engine. Any idea why?
I have Fast Scan turned off, Value Type set to all (includes everything via Scan Settings) with Rounded (default), and MEM_MAPPED enabled. I've even scanned it by 2 bytes and 4 bytes where the most likely way that value would be held and still...nothing.
It worked 1 time during a chapter a few days ago when I tried but hasn't shown since.

| sometimes when you level up the XP does not remain the same as they are shown in the game. Sometimes they add up and are way more than they originally appear so try changed/unchanged scan instead of exact value

So after a battle and I get how much gil I got from the fight along with any items and the experience gained...that experience gained is not accurate? I just did a battle and it seemed accurate to me. I'm going to try the changed/unchanged method right now and report back.
Edit: This changed/unchanged searching is going to take forever...there has got to be an easier way.
Edit 2: I even went into the status of 1 character to see how much EXP they needed from leveling, I looked for that value and it can't find it. I can find gil and item counts pretty easily but EXP is so tough to find...like Square did something to prevent it from being scanned or easily scanned.
Edit 3: I've just about given up, I really really really don't get why this is so difficult...

Go into status, search the XP value, not the to next level value.
When you find it, change it to whatever giant number you want, the to next level value will then say negative.
The next XP you gain, you will go up multiple levels.

Ok, I will try that. Thanks!
A wonky way but oh my god it worked. Thank you so very much! You saved my sanity haha. Just for curiosity's sake, why are the other ways so hard to do? Is it something Square did?
