Thats nothing to be proud of in the context of education or schooling, programming in particular. American education is absolute dogshit, and this kind of question reflects it.
This is a type of question I would expect in one of those free apps that teach you "how to code"

| Do they teach you about the SOLID principles as well? I feel like SOLID should be the base, and then the focus should be on design patterns. Following SOLID principles will lead to cleaner code, which in turn leads to more recognizable design patterns. The absolute garbage 75% of my (ex) colleagues have produced while stating "I used a factory pattern here to bla bla bla" is cringe worthy.

I already know solid, s and d are the two most important anyways. |
I don't think dependency inversion works properly without the Liskov substitution principle though (or design by contract).
