How do I cheat?

So someone hopped in my server with what I assumed was a modified gun; I did some research and found out people use "Cheat Engine" to do things..

I managed to do a few sweet mods - but I'm still at a loss on how someone can modify the max ammo capacity of a gun, and make a gun that's normally semi-automatic, into a fully automatic (grenade launcher)
