First off, are you sure you are changing the right thing?
I'm surprised that code change did not cause an instant crash.

seems we have incorrect disassembly, or the new version of CE is configured to do such thing? dark byte?

bytes 0F 57 C0 should be ESC to xorps, unless this is a new feature in CE. (if you look up few bytes before these you will find incorrect disassembly as well)
