How do I cheat?

So idk why but everytime i launch up cheat engine, it doesnt actually launch. I press the exe and it doesnt launch. I checked my task manager when doing so and it just doesnt show it as opened or anything. When i do open it however, COM Surrogate opens and idk what it is, but it is located in system32 so i guess ill keep it lmao. I just want to open up cheat engine, tried fresh installs and still no work.

uninstall badlion using their uninstaller and reboot your system (Don't shut down and back on, actual restart, as windows fakes a shutdown)
