How do I cheat?

Hello,

I am using Cheat Engine 6.7 because I have a Ryzen 2700X and its the only version of Cheat Engine I have found that the DBVM and the kernel mode debugger doesn't crash my system. I am on Windows 7 as well. I hooked to a Call of Duty World at War with the kernel mode debugger and Cheat Engine itself will randomly crash when single-stepping over a function. Thankfully this doesn't happen very often though. When Cheat Engine does crash it leaves the game in a state where I cannot close the game without restarting my PC. Is there a way to kill the process without restarting? Or better yet, is there an updated version of Cheat Engine that works with my processor?
