After a lot of help and learning from a lovely user named DanyDollaro in the AA section of this forum, who selflessly helped me slowly learn a bit on CE, AA, scripts, hax, debugs, dissects, and the likes, even without getting anything in return (Other than my eternal grattitude, of course. pls shower him with updoots'n love kthnkxbai)... I have but reached this gigantic barrier that is "learning lua and trying to use it with CE to create a proper and clean ct for this game that I love called Xenoblade X"

As expectable, I'm barely started in anything and already getting my ass wh00ped by Lua. :D

If you're new to Lua, disregard CE entirely. Learn Lua first then come back to learn the stuff CE adds to Lua.

There's a book called "Programming in Lua" that's pretty good. The first edition is free (link) and covers Lua 5.0 which is somewhat different from 5.3 (the version CE uses), but most information is still relevant. The fourth edition covers 5.3 which you can buy or find online (e.g. libgen).

Alternatively, there are plenty of other tutorials and videos that cover Lua.

You're the guy I saw in several of the threads I found here when doing my google searches into learning AA and CE! (I guess you really do post a lot, eh? :D)

Dw! I'm not really good at learning with books, and buying any kinds of it in this moment of life is (unfortunately) out of question. But I absolutely already realized that yesterday and was making a huge research spree on it... XD

(No seriously. I still got like 9 other tabs still open this very moment just for the very sake of it. They're basically imo all of the best results I found. :D)

I love the way it teaches, reminds me of codecademy. it's a shame the very first puzzle I tried in it, which was one of the easiest options, already throws at me a bunch of stuff that I barely have any idea what does... XD)

(PS: I Have just found out the guys who created Lua are Brazillians like me :D That's so cool!!! XD)
