How do I cheat?

Hey
I tried to download CheatEngine today and I got a full-screen popup for something called SearchManager Chrome Extension. The download is being redirected to a site hxxp://*.srchmgrc[dot]com/.....
It looks like an attacker has compromised the site and is using the download link to distribute malware. You should get rid of this ASAP.
Also I'd recommend enabling https on the webserver so a network MiTM attacker cannot tamper with the webpage as it's coming from cheatengine.org and arriving at my house.
I noticed you have an MD5sum below the download link. This is no good as an attacker could change both the MD5sum and the download file.

you can also check the signature of the .exe
anyhow, the search manager should be valid, and there should be an option to say no to it. It's just how my mirror makes some extra revenue

Okay good.. thanks for making that clear. Good job deploying that code signing cert.
But you wouldn't want like a random user getting their download intercepted by an ISP or other.. An attacker could just replace the binary with a different one with no code signature. Still think you should have SSL enabled.

Man in the Middle. Now that I've answered a question you probably knew the answer to lol could you check my topic near the top about generation zero and point this cheat engine newb in the right direction?
