Apparently I cannot post links, and the images I'd like to post would greatly help in explaining what I'm talking about. Darn.
Hello. I am trying to add an address to the current Risk of Rain Table in regards to the session timer. The current table already has something for this, marked with an X, here:
As you can see, it uses a decimal to equivocate 59 seconds, and the number 4 to equivocate 512 minutes. I'm not a fan of that, so normally I search manually for the time in seconds using the option of Double; i.e. if the session is on 54 seconds, I'll search between 50 and 60. Seen here:
I add it to the bottom of the table, and I can change the value to any number I want, and it'll convert to minutes in game i.e. from 72 seconds (1:12) to 30000 seconds (500 minutes). But upon death, entering the next stage, or restarting, I can no longer use this address to change the time anymore. It defaults to two question marks, and is no longer selectable. Whereas the table time address is always changeable:
"Why bother if you already have a working one?" The table timer modifier is finicky and doesn't always work, whereas modifying by searching manually in the Double type will always work until death, new level, or game restart. It's quite annoying, and I'd like to know if I can get around this.
Changing the table address' type to "Double" doesn't do anything:
Any ideas?
