| hello, i recently updated to windows 8 and the same cheat table that i used to have is not working anymore. can anyone help me please

Was this your own cheat table or am I able to find it somewhere here in the forums?
Perhaps the cheat table contains wrong base addresses.

| no i downloaded it from the forums here, it used to work perfectly on windows 7. however on windows 8 the values that cheat engine is reporting are wrong. for example the player form should be between 0 and 20 but it is showing a much greater number than 20. could it be an issue between cheat engine and windows 8?

Doubtful! I haven't experienced any issues whatsoever in Windows 8 compared to Windows 7. (Excluding DBVM which isn't truly compatible with Windows 8 yet [however that's an extra component that isn't really necessary except in certain situations])
Depending on the game though, the version of Windows could matter! (There's not specifically anything wrong with Windows '8')
In fact I recommend testing on even another version of Windows if you can, just to be sure that is the issue. (For example if Windows version is the problem, then you'd run into the same issue trying to use a table that works for Windows 7, with like windows XP or something...)
If it's not an online game, care to mention it?
In games made with .NET for example, different version of windows will assemble the code differently. (This is because with .NET executables aren't pre-compiled into native code) Instead they are compiled into CIL (Common Intermediate Language). That is actually what is compiled into the EXE, when you run it, the .NET framework steps in and quickly assembles the CIL into native machine code)
So you could see how, with different architectures and versions, the CLR which compiles this intermediate .NET code, can produce pretty different results.
If the game is Java, well I've pretty much given up on hacking Java games (at least counting on the cheat working always) Because with Java [though I strongly dislike it anyway] even on the same computer same architecture everything, the JVM will assemble even more wildly different results of machine code! Pointers are a no-go for it also... So the only way I would think to truly defeat a Java game is basically you have to create your own /hacked version of JVM (java virtual machine). This hacked JVM would always assemble code the same way... (I think would be a pretty difficult task to achieve also, since it pretty much goes against everything java is, same high level code, different assembled machine code (EVERYTIME)
P.S. I forgot to mention, are you using a script cheat or a pointer? If it's a pointer then yea its possible that a pointer that works in one place on one computer, may not work on another. So if that's the case I recommend scripting it, and you'll have better luck

the game is fifa manager 13 so it's not an online game and i used to have the same cheat table(i even redownloaded it to make sure nothing is wrong with it).
i will post the cheat table if it helps.
i think that the cheat table uses pointers to the values it should change but i have no idea how to script it. could you guide me through the process?

I've some doubt about this, because it would be very unusual that the Cheat-Table wouldnt work, if everything is as it was before and you just upgraded to Windows 8...
Anyway, did you also upgrade from x86 to x64?

This is just a bad table
a pointer table that doesn't make use of a static address
That means it's extremely system specific. Even a different username and country setting can mess that up

Can you provide the link of the forum? I remember a while a go there was a thread about It here. Now I can't find. There were many versions of this table. One of them was functional even to FM14
