Hi guys. i have rather odd question. sorry if it's been answered before, but i could not find anything by searching.

is there a way to search within copied HEX data?
here's what i want to do.
I want to replace some character data in game, but i don't know what is what and when i change character, the addresses change, so i can't do a normal search.

what i can do, is "browse this memory location" and then copy a chunk of data to notepad.
then change character, follow my pointer to find the character stats again and copy another chunk.
so this way, i have data from 2 characters and i'd like to search in between. for example i'd like to know if value in that data has changed from 1 to 2.

normal notepad or other compare tools don't work, because they would list everything, i want more specific thing. just like CE searches memory, only within a saved file. is that possible?

hope i have explained well enough what i'm trying to do. thx

Use structure dissect
once you've found the first character stats dissect it, rightclick the address and click lock

then switch character find it again, and add the new address to structure compare, and you can compare the two. This also works with the commonality scanner

nice thx! had no idea CE has this feature. it can definetely help me step up my game. this will allow me to find values that couldn't be search due the fact that they get a new address each time.

edit
i already found some stuff i was looking for. really good feature!
