Cheat Engine

Hi guys, it's not like I expect any actual solution from you, so let's just talk about it.

I'm not playing the game right now, but I did last year and I liked it a way more than the HD version that I've dropped very quickly. The original game just has a totaly different feeling and that's why I was able to finally finish it that time.

But finishing the game made me feel like: What about playing it again on a higher difficulty, but with CheatEngine-ly boosted ship? So I tried it and... totaly failed.

I mean, forget the ship, there was just no value I was able to change in the whole game! And I'm no beginner when it comes to Cheat Engine...

What techniques can be used to protect their game this much?

I mean, when you look at the official cheat system (yes, even cheating is limited in this game), it seems that there is exactly no hardcodded value, so without this protection, you should be probably able to change any parameters of any item inside your invertory... but I was unable to crack it.

No one was able to crack it, actually, because the only trainer that exists for this game does nothing more than just increasing the amount of cargo you are currently holding with mouse. Isn't that insane?

What do you thing of this problem?

P. S. If you would actually try this game, you must set the compatibility exactly for Windows 98/ME (I think it was this one. I'm kind if not sure now.)
