1) I have noticed that the Windows installer comes with a License.txt file, but I have not found it in the GitHub source repository. Shouldn't this be included with the source code?

2) I have uploaded a trainer that I made with Cheat Engine to GitHub & I want to make sure that I have licensed it correctly. Cheat Engine's license appears to be a custom one & not one of the standard FOSS licenses. I assume that I can license my scripts however I want, but trainer binaries embedded with Cheat Engine executable, DLLs, etc., must be licensed the same as Cheat Engine. Am I correct? What about trainer binaries that do not include said Cheat Engine binaries (e.g., built "Tiny" instead of "Gigantic")? Can I license such a trainer how I like?
I have read through the Cheat Engine license included in the installer, but didn't notice any info on distributing trainers. |
