Hi guys, I have a quick question. I make autosplitters for games and have made quite a few at this point in time. I've had trouble in the past when I try to see what accesses addresses and the game freezing, but I usually find a way to get around it. However, I am having issues with the Steam version of F.E.A.R. 3 and can't seem to get it to cooperate. I am trying to find the address for the In Game Timer, and I think I have it but it's not a static (green) address, so I gotta make a pointer, but I can't cus as soon as the debugger tries to start it crashes fully. I've had games like RE5 crash mid scan but it wouldn't fully close, it would still be up and I could then scan the hex value I needed before closing the game. F.E.A.R. 3 however straight up closes out fully, so I'm screwed haha. Got any ideas on how to make it not crash? I'm using CE 6.8.2.

perhaps the first thing you tried, but have you tried using the veh debugger interface ?

I ended up getting the debugger to work using the Windows debugger set on Page Exceptions. Thanks!

you dont have to attach the debugger to scan for values, just let CE open the process and do your basic scans. (and when you need the debugger CE will attach it for you)
