I've watched multiple tutorials and I have sucuessfully given myself a virtual unlimited amount of COINS and GEMS in the game. However, as a consequence, any items that I put up for sale for other players are invisible to them. In addition, I am unable to buy any items from other players as the game will not let me go to their market. And the final straw, I am unable to join any other neighborhood...that feature is just inactive.
In essence, I am now just a lone wolf player. Not much fun in that.
Did I do something wrong or has the Funky Bay anti-cheat software bitten me in the butt?

Sounds like you cheated on an online game and got banned, but can still play by yourself.
