Hi. I've recently been trying to find a pointer on a game that's on Alpha access only for kickstarter backers and I've having some troubles.

I can find the address to change the health just fine, but I can't seem to find the pointer. This is what I do:

I find the address, find out what writes to that address, I search the address noted in the "more information" box and in the first try, I can clearly see either "sub" or "add" instructions, depending on whether I raise or lower my health. First, I get an address with the offset 258, I then search that address again and none of the results (I've tried them all) show anything when I click on "find out what accesses this address.

I've also tried following the tutorial from the sticky thread on the pointers sub forum, but the pointer scanner yields no result after comparison.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

- find your health address
- see what reads / accesses
- result: REG+offset or REG-offset
- scan for REG address using 4-byte and tick HEX box
- in case the address is longer than 4 bytes search for 8 bytes
- take addresses from scanlist drop them into addresslist
- double click the address tick pointer box and add the address that is holding your health address with the offset you found
- and see what accesses that address
- repeat / bruteforce
