How do I cheat?

When trying to do a scan while playing Shadow of War on PC, Steam Version as of the July/17th update I get Violation Error #100. I can perform scan on any other game I know of. I tried this on multiple versions of Cheat Engine. I am currently using the most recent version of Cheat Engine 6.8.1? Anyone else having the same problem? No scans at all work.

Anybody know why this happens or how to fix it? I tried other suggestions of Violation errors and they did not work.
