Hello,

I wanted to ask if there is a way to scan for pointer with the old method in 6.7 without generating a pointermap ?

Because I dont get any pointer results if I scan with through pointermap, even if its generated for that game.

And with which version did the new pointerscan method came?

Thanks for the answers
Cheers

JM

every ce version with a pointerscan generates a pointermap first

Anyhow, it's not the pointermap that's causing you to get 0 results, it's likely that the output folder where you save the files to has non ascii characters in it

Does spaces counts as non ascii characters too?

spaces should be fine (assuming they are ascii char 0x20 and not some magic widechar blank character)

also, another reason for not finding pointers is the usual too small level or offset, or the target is an emulator, like a browser

Actually the reason were just a space. Now I get results but I faced my next issue. I got like 84million adresses at the first pointer scan but when I close the application, reopen it and scan for same value and got the dynamic adress.
When I rescan for pointer I get 0 results after the first rescan.

what could be the reason ? (even tho I did it right with rescanning)
