Hi everyone!
Can someone help me with negative numbers? I accidentally changed my money( ets2) to -4,293,967,616 and I can't find it in cheat engine to change it again.

What scan type are you using, that signed value is more than 32 bits.

I did some testing with the tutorial and it doesn't seem to show the values as signed in the found address list. So "-4" shows as "18446744073709551612" when in decimal format on an 8 byte data type.

You may need to try using hex format, so "FFFFFFFF000F4200" hex is "-4293967360" signed decimal on an 8 byte data type. But it looks like you have some numeric overflow witch is giving you a malformed number, I would try and let the game reset this if it can.

EDIT:
I guess I copyed your value wrong, but "FFFFFFFF000F4100" is equal to "-4,293,967,616" signed 8 byte.

EDIT 2:
And if the value is just showing in CE as 8 bytes you may just need to change to a 4 byte data type "000F4100" hex is "999680" decimal.

Yes, I meant 8bytes, sorry and yes, this is how it is displayed in the game.
It didn't find anything with hex on 8 bytes, and I tried 4 bytes with the 000F4100 hex, but it didn't find anything too (if I understant edit2 part corectly).

Yeah, so I would say the number is malformed and this may just be a error in the displaying of the number. At that point I would just start scanning for an unknown initial value, and then increasing/decreasing values as I get the value to change, and it may not be it the direction it looks.

EDIT:
and looking at this post, it looks like money should be 4 bytes (if I got the game right):

Right game, how can I find this: 7FF682DC0128 code in cheat engine?
becouse it shows there as money code.

7FF682DC0128 is an address. Your address may be different. If that table won't work maybe one of these will.

Open the table and attach to the process then just pock around. If you have scripts or pointers not working then you may need to try and update the table, or find one for your game version.
