Hi, I'm pretty new at Cheat Engine but I've spent dozens of hours reading tutorials and troubleshooting to find the FOV value in Lost Planet 2.
I found a pointer that lets me change the base field of view, but the game has different FOVs for the sniper rifle, sprinting, rolling, and zoom functions. How would I go about changing the FOV for these or having my fix ignore these so they can stay at their defaults without glitching out?
When I read my pointer during these actions the same address value changes, but it tries to overwrite my frozen value. If I don't freeze my value, it will return to the default 45 when the FOV changing action is over.
I thought that I could try to set some hotkeys that disable the FOV change when I sprint or right click to zoom, but I don't know how to write a script for that.
Alternatively, I've read that maybe I have the wrong value, and I've found 4 different values that touch FOV, but only the one I have keeps the FOV stable when looking around. The others will zoom in when you look down. None of these 4 seem to be able to override other zooms without trying to reset themselves constantly.
I'd appreciate if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this. Thanks.

it can be the right value, but it changes upon request.
it can be 1, 2 or 3 instruction writing to that address, they can check is the player standing then move this value to there, is it sniping then change to .. whatever.
you check if there is any addresses accessed by the instruction thats writing to your address, or you can patch the instruction thats writing to your address and see how to behave.
so far there should not be more than one function responsible of modifying your fov, even if that function have multiple instruction writing to your address .. it should be easily located.
