Cheat Engine

when I try to download CE ( on the main CE site ) it want me to download "selected search". when I select "skip" it say "lets remain friends". that sounds like a threat to me. then after the .exe does DL when I try to install from there it stops & gives me "ERROR 5". "unable to create directory 'C:\users\myname\App Data\local\temp\is-xxxxx.tmp'". I was running v. 6.6. when I tried to update to 6.7 (because it said it was 6.4) I could not get it pass this point. I even deleted what I had, so now I have none at all because it will not install ANY version. I tried 6.4, 6.5, 6.5.1, 6.6, 6.7. NONE of them will install & I will NOT DL some program that I do not want just to see if it will work. this is BS. I am running win 7 Pro because I like old game, as I am old too ( 68 ). I was using it on 'Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods' which was working until I tried to update. I have been using CE for years as I am a cheater at heart (mostly for money). Now nothing !!!! Is there ANY help??
