Hello, I wanted to know about Group Scan.
Let's say in a game like Dark and Light there's a crafting system, let's assume that to craft an item you need 3 resources, will It work if I scan in group the CAP of the required resources, for example x/3 x/4 x/10.
Does it always work? I mean I tried to look for 4 byte no success and even 2 byte, why doesn't it work for any game?
EDIT: By doesn't work I mean It finds 0 results.

Group scan is mostly meant to work on structure, for example if you know that in memory you have something like
{
0x0 - health - float 100
0x4 - max health - 4 byte 100
0x8 - mana - float 87.2
0xC - maxmana - 4 byte 100
}
you could scan for something like f:100 4:100 f:* 4:100 equivalent to scanning for the aob 0000C842 64000000 * * * * 64000000 except that CE knows that they are 4 separate values and can give you 4 addresses in the list with the correct types.
You can see how the format is handled in the source which would also let you find out there's an OOO, out of order, command (you can see how it scans for that here).
