How do I cheat?

Hi everybody, been using cheat engine for a long time thanks to those of you that know what the heck you are doing (cause I dont). Recently no matter what game I am playing and using CE for, none of the scripts will activate. For example, on the Warhammer Total War, I can activate the table/script info but not the actual script to open up all the options. Mafia 3 none of the options will select either. Not sure what to do about this. Thanks in advance for the help!

Because games update (like crazy) and you need an updated table. Both updated ones have been posted on https://fearlessrevolution.com by Recifense and others
