I am assuming you've placed a WRITE breakpoint on your players health.
In that case it means you are searching for the CODE that breaks / is executed when your player is being attacked and hit.
In most cases (about every game) that what I would like to call decreament routine is being shared among many other things in a game.
The same code is executed when an enemy is being attacked and hit, when you hit an object etc....

In your case and I would advice on every game stop using breakpoints on WRITE and use breakpoints on READ.

You will mostlikely end up with a lot of results and you can easily find (depending on the game engine) an area that is executed when the game reads your player health and your player health only.

use that spot to do your injection.

Give it a shot.

Assuming because you posted this: Devil may cry.exe+68164 - movss [ecx],xmm0 you know how to set a breakpoint right?.

You found your health and right-clicked on it to find out what writes to it right?

Now change that to Find out what read/ writes to it (not sure if it's called like that hehe, I am a WinDBG user myself).

Return back in the game, make sure you're not being HIT and you will retrieve a bunch of results.

I am most certain one of those results is for the PLAYER only.
