Cheat Engine

I'll first give some background on why I wish to use Cheat Engine.

I have used Cheat Engine in the past to have fun with friends and learn about game design. It's been a few years since I last used Cheat Engine. I recently started playing Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Link on Android. The game was actually quite fun and I liked the nostalgia. I made it quite far. My game started crashing so I did a quick uninstall and reinstall. This apparently is not OK according to the devs. It erased all of the game data and it's unrecoverable according to them.

In most phone games this would make since. If you don't backup the saves, when you reinstall you start over. Although some games allow you to opt to leave saved data when you uninstall. This game, however, is an online game that gives a user ID called "Duelist ID" and connects to your Google Play account. I thought for sure any important game data such as level achieved and cards unlocked were server side and only my settings would be reset. When I opened the app again I was assigned a different duelist ID and I can't get them to acknowledge my account restoration.

So, I had the idea to, first, use cheat engine to locate the Duelist ID and modify the data or pointer to my old duelist ID and see if it would launch me into my old account. I had low hopes for this. It would be hard to find a static value, and it probably wouldn't send that data on login. I might try to use Charles or other proxy and find the packets being sent that contain my ID and tell them I'm the other Duelist and see if it links me.

My second idea that has me stumped and why I have come here for assistance is I can't seem to find any actual game data. Nothing appears to be stored in the memory. I also don't see anything in the process list. I have tried using Nox and BlueStacks to emulate an Android. Unfortunately, as a Verizon customer, my phone is OEM locked and no current root exists for it. I used both Cheat Engine apk and Cheat Engine for PC. Neither seem to locate the values.

In the game the Duelist have LP which slowly decrease to zero. I find hundreds of results for 4000, sometimes two or three on second scan for say, 2300, and zero for any further scans. I've tried searching all types, specific types, unknown initials and decreased by values. Nothing seems to pin a memory location. The game also grants currency, gems, and when you create an account the tutorial gets you to 10 and due to server issues you are granted 500, 500, and 777 as you accept them from your chest and you can spend gems. This has given me lots of ways to attempt to locate it with no luck.

Further, I noticed the game appears to be written using Unity and the file structure is difficult for me to pin down. I think the memory structure may be similar in that things are just pointers and everything is stored in harddisk or SSD and not in RAM/ROM.

Does anyone have any experience using Cheat Engine on an emulator, what sorts of things should I be doing?

I think if I can find data values I can manually force my account back to the level I achieved and complete the "Tutorials" I already completed and then use a data transfer feature to actually backup my account to their servers.
