How do I cheat?

I'm not trying to modify a game. I'm not sure how many are familiar with the ChatSpace java software, it seems to be all but discontinued but I'm trying to mess around with it. I can download it and even managed to get a working Serial but when I attempt to connect to the server via mIRC or web based it says I must register before proceeding. Using Ollydbg I haven't been able to find anything that checks for registration. Anyone have any advice?
