hi, i attempted to boot cheat engine after an update from windows 7 to 10, then 10 aniversay, i never tried it on win 10 but when i tried it on 10 anniversary it crashed explorer.exe and i had to restart my pc, nothing happened but im cautious that something major might happen. i didn't install cheat engine either, i just used the files from my pc before the format and update that i had stored on an external hard drive

don't enable query memory regions in windows 10 anniversary, besides that everything should be fine
