I was really excited to being able to xbox 360 controller buttons as hotkeys. I didn't know it was possible in the first place. So I did few binds. But next time I launched the game I noticed that xbox 360 controller hotkeys just stopped working while normal keyboard hotkeys had no issues. I also noticed that cheat engine complete stopped detect xbox 360 controller. I tried to set different keys, but CE just doesn't accept controller inputs anymore. I've restarted CE multiple time without any success and the only thing that helped is reboot. I must note that I had no issues with other games and applications. I was able to use it with no issues for everything except CE. I though this is just a random bug, but after a while it happened again.

Another questions:

Is it possible to make a script that can detect xbox 360 controller any button press and as soon as it does: wait 0.5 seconds and then write "-1" to [[Player_ptr]+8]+18?

You have xbox 360 controller or xbox one controller?
Wireless with adapter or just USB cable?

To answer your last question - yes, it's possible. You can create an LUA script to do this, or, write an assembly script and hook the internal game functions that handle whatever controller buttons that you are wanting to use.

Try my controller tester. By default it works on port 0.
You can change port up to 3 (so 0,1,2,3).

Sorry for delay! I can't reproduce this issue anymore. The script and buttons are working for me since last reboot. I'll let you know if it will happen again and try your script then again.
