Hi all,
Sorry if this seems to be a newbie question but I am a newbie
I tried to find an answer both in help and on this forum without luck.
So here is my issue:
I found a specific memory region, from which I would like to copy it's values. I tried initially to use Grouped Strings to have them shown as values in the list table on the home display but failed.
What I was able to do though;
I was able to find values that I needed by browsing a memory region where all following regions had the text and values I am looking for.
Now I would like to copy the entire text (from the right column in the memory viewer) to an external application (Excel) but since the regions are too long they take several screen lengths and without the ability to select (using shift like in Office) start and end of the text I want to copy I am limited to copying what I can see on a single screen length by dragging the cursor from the start till end of the screen then copying.
I read in a post about saving memory regions to a text based (CEM) file after identifying the memory range, but when I do that most of the times I get gibberish and only a few times do I get full or partial text similar to what I see in the memory viewer.
Is there a way to successfully export the text I see in the memory viewer if it extends to more than one screen?

select the first byte, and hold down the left mouse button.
Now use the scroller till you get to the point you need, perhaps wiggle the mouse a bit, and then release the mouse.
Then then copy as you are used to
As for saving, note down the begin and end address. press ctrl+s, fill in the range, check don't include cheat engine header and then save

Thank you for the reply.
For the 1st method, I have already tried it without luck. Using the mouse only works if the text does extend to another page as I am not able to scroll down if I'm holding the mouse button.
I tried the 2nd Method using the file save again (which used to give me gibberish) but took your note to not include header information and things seem to have worked out. I hope this is constant as I've had some few success and many failures using the file save method earlier.
Thanks again your help is really appreciated!
