I'm trying to test the following for a game built with some script engine

cmp dword ptr [edi+890], 0x89A3

but the address sometimes is unaccessible, and causes violation crash. is there a way to prevent such violation and skip the code in assembly? thanks!

Check if the address is correct before accessing?

The address is valid, just not accessible, i.e. [edi+890] shown as ?? in memory view, so the game crashes.
