|
|
| I started using CE to create small applications that have nothing to do with cheating and don't even attach to processes (eg reading information from a website ect) because its so simple with CE. Especially the form editor is what keeps me here, because i dont have to hard code a button with all its properties, i can just drag and drop. However, its getting annoying that it still including CheatEngine itself into the exe which often causes false positives from virus scanners (obviously) and I want to get rid of that so im now looking for a proper lua editor. However, I am too stupid to find one with a form creator. everywhere i have to hardcode everything which is alot of work compared to the rest. In school we're currently learing java and we use JavaEditor which even generates the corresponding code as soon as you place a button ect. Unfortunaltely i can't make friends with java. does something like that exist for lua?

| Lua is an extension language whose main purpose is to extend the functionality of a software. The form components you use are actually not from Lua but the underlying language CE is coded in, Free Pascal. The properties of the form components are passed by reference to Lua for it to manipulate. IIRC, CE's form designer does not include all the form components which are provided by Free Pascal, but the most commonly used ones are. So if you are learning Lua to code GUI, this is not really a great direction.
