|
|
I recently encountered a bug in CE's trainer generator.
The general problem is that I can't generate EXE files/trainers with it anymore (CE 6.5.0 didn't have this bug, double-checked that).
The "Output" box is set to "EXE". I click on "Generate trainer", the file save dialog pops up, the file type is correctly set to EXE-Files (you can't select anything else).
I input a name (i.e. "test1.exe") and click on save.
Now the small "Exe Trainer Generator" window pops up. Its settings are as follows:
Trainer-Size: Gigantic
Process: Tried both, 32bit and 64bit, doesn't matter
Features: None (so no Checkboxes checked)
There are no additional files, Compression is set to "Max".
When I now click on "Generate", CE immediately finishes the compiling process and when I look into the previously specified directory, I only see a file named "CET_TRAINER.CETRAINER".
I always get that file when selecting an EXE trainer, so CE ignores both, the EXE setting and the custom name.
Hope I could describe the problem detailed enough.

Don't know if that has to do with anything but set Compression to none. Max compression doesn't work on windows 8+ anyway so you shouldn't be using that.

Nope, the compression doesn't make any difference, no matter what compression I set (tried with all of them).
But it'd actually have surprised me if that was the problem because as I said, in CE 6.5.0 the trainergenerator works just fine, even with Compression set to "Max".

Do you have antivirus installed? If yes, go to "Antivirus Quarantine", sort by date, maybe you will find it there.
Alternatively, set up "ignore list" ( Exclude Files/Folders ):
- add folder where you save your trainer, e.g. C:\Users\yourUsername\Desktop\MyTrainers\*
