Hi everyone! I would like to ask is it possible to change character name in .SAV file? It's from game Ghost 1.0. In that file character name is Marfolog, I want to change it to Zoltan/DJMisha, is it possible somehow?

Backup the file
File > Open File
Scan for string
Pray you don't corrupt the save

Chances are it's encrypted.

You'd have better luck changing your name in game and then praying it overwrites the save.

Open save file in HxD (or your preferred hex editor). Search/Replace/Replace all. Make sure results are not case sensitive.

Since the name sizes are different, you may want to include spaces or something at the end to make up for it. This may mess up your save file and/or it may not even work - so, as Zanzer suggested, back it up first.

As Zanzer pointed out, it may be encrypted. If you can post your save file somewhere, maybe someone can look at it. But, don't get your hopes up.

If the name is not stored inside the save file, but is, instead, stored inside the game data and/or initialized at run time, then you may have to use CE or something to find it.
