Hey,
This is aimed at DarkByte. This may sound harsh... but ultimately it is your own reputation at stake and the experience you give to your customers.
If you care about us who trust you with frequent website visits and having your application installed on our computers then please don't try to lure us installing potential malware (called "sponsors") via the Cheat Engine installer or from your website.
The first step I've taken right now is that I just aborted the installation of v6.5.1. Next step is to stop using CE altogether if this continues.
You do know this puts people off and pushes us away from your site and application, right? Is it worth it?
Request - please add a downloadable portable version of CE in a zip/rar-package if possible.

So you suck at reading the steps during the installation.
You suck at reading the download site and finding the link without the installer.
But, to you, Dark Byte sucks for providing a free product for the world to enjoy.

I, too, get annoyed with always clicking advanced/custom/extras in an installer to disable bloatware, but I have been doing it since my first computer oh so many years ago. It's a part of life on the internet. Installers always try to sucker the unwary into generating income for another.

As you can see, there is already an option, but you have to read before clicking the first link you see and there is an extra step needed to ensure compatibility.
Now, if you mean portable as in for android/ios, then I dont have a clue.

The OP insults, threatens, insults again and then submits a request! Has anyone seen Idiocracy? I almost feel badly for him. 
In all seriousness, reading comments like this all of the time, one would think that DB is actually charging some people to use CE. I guess I was grandfathered in.

Question to you then Zanzer and everyone else who insults me and calling me names: Are you happy with bloatware and malware being installed on your system?
A free product doesn't need to have a malicious content and intent. Of course it's up to DarkByte to decide how he wants to treat his customers and you seem happy with the treatment, who am I to judge you. My request is only for him to give us others who are not happy with the current situation a portable version. Something that cooleko managed to direct me to...

| I just tried and it worked fine for me with winrar, maybe your dl was corrupted on the first try.

WinRAR managed to unpack where TotalCommander failed.
Noticed this out of many things in TC v8.50+
* Support unpacking of more archive formats: 7zip, new RAR5 format, as well as -lh6- and -lh7- (LHA)
Had TC v8.01 myself, which explains things...

I haven't called you names, i just think it is stupid to make an issue out of something so trivial and repeat the same thing for a hundredth time. The posts i linked to are barely scratching the surface of the amount of idiocy that has been produced.
Everything this thread has generated so far has been repeated in the threads i posted including the link to downloads page.
