				| So I was looking for games to buy and found Witcher III but it says I need atleast an i5-2500K to run it:
 From Steam Store:

  	  | Quote: | | MINIMUM:
 OS: 64-bit Windows 7, 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1) or 64-bit Windows 10
Processor: Intel CPU Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz / AMD CPU Phenom II X4 940
 Memory: 6 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 660 / AMD GPU Radeon HD 7870
 Storage: 35 GB available space

 RECOMMENDED:
 OS: 64-bit Windows 7, 64-bit Windows 8 (8.1) or 64-bit Windows 10
Processor: Intel CPU Core i7 3770 3.4 GHz / AMD CPU AMD FX-8350 4 GHz
 Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: Nvidia GPU GeForce GTX 770 / AMD GPU Radeon R9 290
 Storage: 35 GB available space

But then, I saw on Youtube that a Russian guy played Witcher III on an i3-6100 (same CPU as mine) and a GTX 950. I was like: Woah, I thought I needed an i5 for this game to run? Some people told me an i3-6100 can run any game ever released as long as it is paired with a decent graphics card. Can anyone here confirm this? If this is true, then can I just spend all my upgrade funds on a graphics card alone instead of both graphcis card and processor?

				| I don't know about any game given that the i3-6100 is a locked processor and is only dual-core. The minimum required i5-2500K is unlocked (hence the K) and is a quad core processor. While the two perform pretty similar, the i5 is definitely stronger in almost every way (minus single core performance).
If you are still rocking a processor from a long while ago, it's probably best to save up and work towards getting both a new CPU and GPU. If you wait a little longer for a GPU, the new 1070's are coming out which will help push the current market prices of the 960/970/980/Titan cards down some more. Or if you are even willing to jump the gun go for a 1070 itself.

If you want to go with some more or less trusted hardware that has been proven, here are a handful of processors that are in a 'top-purchased' / 'top-used' lineup:
 - Intel Core i7 6700K (~$330)
 - Intel Core i7 4790K (~$330)
 - AMD FX-8350 (~$150)
 - AMD FX-6300 (~$100)

I'm personally an Intel guy and suggest the 4790K based on past builds I've made for myself and others. It's a solid processor that can be overclocked pretty well if cooled right. You can step down some too if need be and shoot for an i5 such as:
 - Intel Core i5 4690K (~$240)

Depends on your budget though and what your focus is on using the system for. Such as photo/video editing / rendering, music production, gaming, etc.

				| A ton of games are still single-threaded when it comes to CPU calculations, so sometimes you can take that with a grain of salt. I diddled along the internet tubes a little for you to see it doesn't appear to make much of a difference as long as your CPU is not ancient and is at least a dual core. _________________

				| Games can NOT mention every single processor out there. The minimum is just to give you an idea.
I ran witcher 3 fine on my MSI GTX460 OC with an old-ass core i3-550 from 2010 so the requirements are a lie ? Nope.

Don't bother with the 900 GPU lineup now as 1070+ GPUs are being released and that's what you should be aiming for. As long as you have a decent CPU that is not very old, you can focus on GPU only and get amazing results.

				| Thank you for your replies. I was just confused if I should upgrade my i3 to an i5 and also upgrade the GPU. The i7 + high end GPU is the best choice obviously, but due to money reasons, I guess i'm going with i3 + high-end GPU all the way. I'll take either the GTX 1060 or RX 480
EDIT: Perhaps I can find a used 960/970/980 for a cheap price, then upgrade to an i5

Just be careful going for 960/970/980 cards now that the 1070/1080s are out. Prices of new 960-980's have dropped pretty good (down to $100-200 range for some) that can contend with some peoples used prices. Don't get ripped off from a craigslist ad.
