Sup everyone!
Im in a project of developing a plugin for a motion sim structure using simtools by xsimulator (search it on internet because i cant post any link yet). Those plugins allows to get the car position (pitch, roll, yaw, surge, sway, heave) from a game and move the structure according to it. There are plugins for PC games and for emulators, one of those plugins is for Gran Turismo 4 (using pcsx2), and I'm in campaign to make one for Initial D Special Stage (also using pcsx2).
The developer that made GT4 plugin has given some tips to get values in Cheat Engine, but after weeks i can't figure out what value is the correct. For example: To get the pitch I start the race and I need to search an 'unknown initial value', then when I go in a downhill and I search for a 'decreased value', when I go to a flat surface search for a 'increased value' and when I go to a uphill i search the oposite one (increased value and then decreased value in a flat surface), after that i need to repeat that with different cars and track (kinda difficult because the tras are downhills or uphills), everything between 20000000 - 22000000 in Memory Scan Options.
I watched videos and I searched here how to get the pointers and develop the plugin. I know that is hard to find it in a emulator, I do pointer scan, the 'what writes this address' option, some hex calculations, etc...... and I get nothing because i don't know what to do after getting some address. Right now i have 9 address tested with different cars in the first track. With that, what i need to do to get the pointers? The pointer allows to me to develop the plugin and test it with the game.
