I am quite ok with searching for value etc. However, would cheat engine be enough to get function of PS2 game?

My goal is to create a bot to help me farm stuff in the game. Where should I start? And how hard do you think it would be?

For example, Final Fantasy X, how hard would it be for the bot to farm and use health potion etc?

PS. Just for Hobby : )
