This game has some of the most frustrating code I've ever tried to hack. So literally every function of the game - from decrease health, to bounding boxes, to input triggers, to even Artificial Intelligence - runs through a single function. If you try to see what calls this one function, you have maybe a million functions populate the list before you can even leave the pause menu and do stuff.
If you create a LUA script that captures the call function only when Health is affected, it yields either no results or millions of results. The health value address also changes constantly without warning so your code may stop working and give you false hope.
I've found the values for health, ammo, Ki, and Karma, but the game has no natural pointers. I've done pointer scans that go down to 4096 units of depth at 24 offsets, which yielded an 80GB pointer list over the course of 3 days straight scanning, and all of them are dead end pointers. It's like the game compiles itself every time you start it, more so than even the most sophisticated .NET game.
The memory structures also have absolutely no pattern, so you can kiss those AOB scans goodbye.
Since the day this game came out until today I've been trying to make even one useful hack but have not succeeded. Has anybody succeeded? I want to know because if nobody has then perhaps I should stop trying for the sake of going insane. I know my way around 32-bit pretty well but 64-bit, along with this game's anti-hackable anything, is very discouraging to me as a beginner.
