Cheat Engine

so i finished the tutorial but when it comes to an actual game its nothing like it

its a multiplayer game without any cheat detection

for example i want to have unlimited health and i try to achieve that by finding the adress for health and freezing at 100.

first of all, out of thousands of adresses (some of them with values constantly changing) there are like 50 adresses that indicates hp in game (scanned 100, got dmg in game and i see the adresses drop in value accordingly)
ive put all these adresses into list and locked it at 100. ingame health displays always 100 but i still die.(and health flashes quickly when i take dmg)

then i go to "find out who writes adress" and i get this adress with counts rapidly rising and no "probably pointer is x" (see screenshot)

this adress is also same for other adresses displaying other values(like energy)

i dont know what to do from now on

Hi,

multiplayer games save values like health, ammo, etc on the server. You cannot freeze them on the client.

so theres no possible way? the game is jedi academy ive seen people hacking it. its an old game with quake3 engine

Sometimes the values are stored and modified on the server. Sometimes they're stored and modified on the client. It depends on the game.
