I am playing Dead Effect on PC through Steam and am trying the hack code to get more money/credits.
I installed cheat engine 6.5 and ran the tutorial (well the first one for changing the hits) It worked fine. So I decided to try it out on Dead Effect. The first scan worked fine and it found about 144 entries with the value I entered. But when I enter the second value and click "Next Scan" the scan comes up blank. So I start over and click new scan. Each time it finds the value just fine on new scan, but when I enter the second value and hit next scan it comes up blank.

Can someone help please?

Cheat Engine is working fine. You are just not scanning for the value properly. Not all games just store values in raw formats like 4 bytes, as-is. Some case will store things as floats/doubles that normally wouldn't be that type as well as encoding values so that they are different from what you would assume. A good example is most of the Grand Theft Auto series has health stored as 250 when you are at 100% health etc.

If you can't find things straight forward, use the other search features such as unknown values etc to find what you are looking for. If you are unsure how to use them, then try the tutorial that comes with Cheat Engine to figure things out.
