|

I've read through a few topics, and have even searched and barely found anything of use.
Would I get VAC banned or banned for using Cheat Engine on Call of Duty: Black Ops? I want to use it on the zombies mode and offline only.
I am not made of money and my Steam account has quite a few games, I do not cheat in multiplayer and I don't want to get any sort of ban.
Does anybody know if I would get banned for using Cheat Engine on any of the Call of Duty games? Specifically Black Ops?
Thank you to anyone who can tell me whether it is safe or not. I don't want to get banned from my games!

If you stay strictly offline you should be ok. But, VAC is an ever-changing anti-cheat that has various methods of detection. They could land up switching on VAC for offline mode games at any time if they wanted with a simple patch.
Either way, use at your own risk knowing that there is a chance you could get banned.

I've read on another website, that players have been banned from Black Ops II for just having Cheat Engine open, I'm not sure if this is true, if they are lying and got banned for another reason, but I just want to be sure.
Have you ran Cheat Engine on retail Steam games? If so, what was the result?

On some yes, while offline. Results are no bans on my account still. It's up to the game developers to implement VAC as well and how it is implemented is up to them. Most VAC protected games do not touch offline mode and are only on online mode. However, there are some games, based on how they are designed, such as one of the Resident Evil's, that has VAC while playing single player because it is coded differently.

If you cheat in zombies mode, you will get banned. It doesn't matter if you are playing it offline. In fact, you can't play zombies in offline mode without some workaround in bops3. People complained about bans in bops2 zombies mode as well and i have no idea how much online was integrated into that.
As far as single player campaign is concerned, feel free to cheat away. Start steam in offline mode to be extra sure.

| For Black Ops 3, I've cheated online but the game crashes. On black ops 2 I got banned since people looked at the my recent games. IF you dare play online matches, I reckon pressing ALT + F4 to quit the game, this way your stats will be saved expect from your match leaderboard and recent game video. So I created another steam account and bought BO2 on there and promised I would never cheat unless there's a way to prevent recent games videos, which there is!
